In conjunction with Arrow Badminton's 1st year anniversary, we are proud to announce, with partnership with Badminton Family and Friends (B.F.F.), the inaugural ARROW CUP 2024, a Team Event Competition that will take place on 20th April 2024 at Alpha Auburn.
Prize of money of $5,000 for the Champion team and $2,000 for the Runner Up team is up for grabs!

ROUND ROBIN FORMAT

During the Round Robin stage, 16 teams will be allocated at random into 4 different groups of 4 teams each.

Each team will play the other 3 teams in their respective group once.

The top 2 teams with the most Wins within the group will qualify for the Quarter Finals
-
Round Robin Stage matches are played to the first to 30 points, with no deuce
-
Every match victory in each category will earn the Team '1 Win’.

The top 2 teams with the most Wins within the group will qualify for the Quarter Finals

If there are two teams tied on Wins, the team with the most 'Points Scored' will take precedent
-
If there are two teams tied on Wins and Points Scored, the team with the least 'Points Allowed' will take precedent
-
If there are two teams tied on Wins and Points Scored, and Points Allowed, a one-off Men's Singles match on a first to 11 points basis will determine which team proceeds
KNOCKOUT FORMAT

In the knockout stages, a Team wins on a best of 3 matches

The order of play will be; Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Men's Doubles,

If a team takes an unassailable 2-0 lead, the losing team has the right to decide whether the 3rd match is to be played

Knockout games are played with one set, first to 21, with deuce
TEAM COMPOSITION
-
Each team must comprise of a minimum of 4 individual players (2 men & 2 women), and up to a maximum of 6 individual players (3 men & 3 women).

Players within each team may choose to participate in more than one category (i.e., Men's Doubles & Mixed Doubles or Women’s Doubles & Mixed Doubles etc.) but must be registered prior to the tournament

If a player cannot participate in a match due to any circumstances, the match will be forfeited to the opponent with a score of 0-21

All interested teams are required to submit their Expression of Interest (in the link above) by 1 April 2024

All invited teams will be required to submit their full team list by 14 April 2024

We invite your social clubs to send your best teams! Whilst this competition is not specifically graded, we do cap the participation to a max level of Grade B to ensure a fun and fair competition for everybody.

A Grade players, Professional and Open level players are strictly prohibited, and we will perform the necessary validation prior to the competition if required.

For the purpose of this competition, A-Grade players are defined as:

A doubles pair that has won a Semi-Final match in an A-Grade competition from 1 January 2023 to 19 April 2024.

If you are found to breach this rule, the organizers reserve the right to terminate your participation without any refund of your entry fee
